Our Team

I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and the Associate Director of Caregiver Education at TACT. I joined TACT when it opened its doors in 2019 as an instructor therapist. I hold a Master's degree in Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis from Brock University. Before my time at Brock, I completed my undergraduate degree from the University of Ottawa in Psychology and Music.

I began my career working in the field of therapeutic recreation and have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals and long-term care homes. I have also had the opportunity to work with adults with developmental disabilities in residential group homes and a creative arts day program.

In my spare time, I love to play violin as much as I can and find so much joy in collaborating with other musicians. I also grew up on a farm and visit often to be a helping hand and to spend time outdoors.

Every day I am inspired by all the little celebrations and big moments I get to be a part of. Cheering on our students with our therapists and our TACT families is the best feeling.

I am an Instructor Therapist & Case Manager where I work one-on-one with our students. I also completed the requirements to be a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT; no longer recognized in Ontario). I teach skills to our students and help support their needs while they are at TACT. I help our students manage any behavioural challenges they may face throughout the day.

Prior to starting at TACT, my journey began after graduating from the Toronto Metropolitan University with a BA in sociology. After graduating, I needed some time to evaluate and think about the career path I wanted to pursue. I worked for a few years in the service and retail industry until I decided to go back to school and specialize in a field where I could help and work with people. After doing some research, I found the advanced diploma for the autism and behavioural science program at George Brown College.

I spent the year in the program learning, practicing, and applying the ABA skills that were being taught to me. I was placed at TACT for my 7-week placement as a student. I quickly fell in love with the job, duties and the wonderful and positive learning environment at TACT. I was lucky enough that once I completed my schooling, I was offered a position at TACT.

Outside of TACT many of my hobbies and interests are involved with music. I love playing the drums, writing, and performing live with other musicians.

I also enjoy attending concerts and spending time outdoors. I love watching hockey as I am a huge Toronto Maple Leafs fan!

Things that inspire me are acts of kindness, attending and playing live music, and being able to be creative.

I am the Intake/Administrative Coordinator at TACT. I am originally from Toronto, but lived in Calgary for most of my life and moved back to Toronto in 2021. While living in Calgary, I attended Mount Royal University and earned a B.A. in Anthropology. My degree really inspired my love for traveling and immersing myself in the culture of other countries. Once I graduated, I did two solo backpacking trips and have since visited 18 countries. I worked for many years in medical administration supporting patients with acute and chronic muscle, bone and joint pain. Being able to assist patients with ever changing needs instilled a motivation to keep learning and to grow my skill set.

Upon returning to Toronto, I decided to further my education and went on to complete a certificate in Small Business Bookkeeping from Sheridan College. I was initially drawn to TACT because of my experience growing up with my brother who has ASD. Being part of an organization that works hard to support and nurture children in their early learning experience makes me look forward to going to work every day.

Outside of TACT, I enjoy exercising, spending time with family and friends, checking out new restaurants, and attending trivia events.

I am inspired by my parents. My motivation to work hard and pursue my dreams is because of them. They have supported me in every endeavor and encouraged me every step of the way, and that has shaped me into who I am today.

I am a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst and the Associate Director of Training and Development at TACT. I started at TACT as an Instructor Therapist and practicum student.

I completed my Master’s degree in Applied Disability Studies (M.ADS) at Brock University. Prior to that, I received an Honors B.Sc. from UTSC where I specialized in Psychology and mental health studies and a graduate certificate from George Brown College where I completed the Behaviour Science Technology Program.

My education has created my strong passion in educating others and has prepared me to work with a diverse population. My work history includes working in an after-school program as a program leader and as a Noon-Hour Assistant at a high school working with teenage and young adult males with ASD. By working in these roles, I have learned how to create inclusive social and educational programs for school-aged children with diverse needs and backgrounds and how to create and foster optimal learning environments for learners with different diagnoses and needs.

Having a background in ABA has helped me to learn new skills like snowboarding and skipping. I have used some methods of ABA to track my progress which helped me to learn new tricks. I also really enjoy travelling and hiking.

What inspires me is the desire to find out how far I can go and how good I can become in my field; this ambition comes from my family which is supported by my mom who raised my family as a single mother. I am inspired by my past and remembering how much my mother sacrificed for me and my siblings. I am inspired to be like her and dedicate my life to always trying new things, overcoming challenges, and making lasting memories with my family and friends.

I am the Lead ECE at TACT. I hold a BA from Queen’s University, a graduate certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science, and I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE).

Some of my past work with children includes one to one support work and before & after school programming with kindergarten. I also spent a year volunteering in a preschool classroom for children with special needs as well as in the preoperative care unit at Sick Kids. A highlight for me was spending a month in Mumbai for a school placement working in a childcare centre there!

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and exercising and I am currently trying to learn chess.

I am inspired by the “good days” and the moment you know you and a learner have clicked. Once that connection is made, a world of learning can take place!

I am the Lead Instructor in the Developmental Kindergarten program at TACT. I hold a master’s degree in Applied Disability Studies, specializing in Applied Behaviour Analysis, from Brock University. I am currently pursuing BCBA certification.  Some of my previous work experiences include teaching swim lessons to children and adults of varying developmental abilities and being a camp counselor for children at various community centers in Toronto. I have also previously completed an undergraduate placement position working with children and adults with ASD by providing support in academic, social, fitness, art, and daily living skills. I also volunteered at Holland Bloorview Rehabilitation Centre where I provided recreational programming to children living in the inpatient Complex Continuing Care unit.

During my free time I love to travel, try new foods, and spend time with my dog, Rio! I hope to continue traveling and exploring new places around the world!

I have a Master's degree in Professional Education and Applied Behaviour Analysis from Western University. Prior to that I did my undergraduate degree in psychology and geography at Western University.

At TACT, I have been an instructor therapist, case manager, and Lead Kindergarten Teacher. Prior to TACT, I worked in group home settings for adults with ASD and supported younger individuals with developmental disabilities in respite settings. I previously volunteered in several youth mental health programs with boys and girls club, big brothers and sisters, and as a crisis textline responder at kids help phone.

I love sewing, baking, and going outside with my big orange cat Milo. I love learning and watching others learn about how to be happy and healthy in this complicated world!

I am an Instructor Therapist and Case Manager at TACT.

I was born and raised in Brazil, where I started studying nursing at the Ceara State University; before I could graduate, I decided to explore more opportunities outside of my country. I moved to Canada to start studying English, planning to go back home and finish my Nursing Degree. After some time living in Canada, I developed a passion for Psychology, and my previous plan to work as a Pediatric Nurse changed into a new plan. I now hold an Ontario College Diploma from Seneca College where I completed the Behavioural Sciences Program. During College, I did my placement experience at TACT where I learned so much from everyone not just professionally, but also as a person.

In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, reading, having some ''me time'' and I love being outdoors.

I am inspired by my family, especially my mother and my sister. Nature and spirituality also inspire me greatly. Love and kindness are the biggest inspirations in my life.

I am continuing to work towards becoming a better therapist and educator working closely with families living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I am always learning something new in the field and I look forward to growing with the TACT team.

Outside of work, I am a freelance family and lifestyle photographer. I am always seeking to broaden my horizons. I prioritize health and wellness, regularly practicing hot yoga, a big foodie and I love traveling, always eager to explore new destinations.

My career journey has been an enriching experience, and I'm inspired by the positive energy and expertise of professionals in the field whom I've had the privilege to connect with. I'm excited to bring my enthusiasm and dedication to our work here at TACT!

My name is Nicole, and I am currently an Instructor Therapist at TACT. I began my academic journey at the University of Guelph-Humber, where I earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies and a diploma in Early Childhood Education. Over four years of academic studies, combined with various practicums and professional experiences, I gained a deep understanding of Early Childhood Educators and Instructor Therapists' profound impact on children's lives.

I am now in the final year of my Master’s program in Applied Disability Studies with a specialization in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Brock University, with the goal of becoming a Behaviour Analyst. My passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the children I work with drives my dedication to this field.

Before joining TACT, I volunteered for two years at Silver Creek Preschool, where I worked with children with special needs. This experience helped me develop patience, empathy, and compassion while deepening my understanding of the unique challenges faced by these children.

Although I was born in Toronto, I have strong ties to Portugal, where my extended family resides. I try to visit as often as possible, and when I'm not travelling to Portugal, I’m exploring new destinations on my bucket list. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends, dining out, and reading.

Hi! I am Breanna and I am an Instructor Therapist at TACT. So happy to be here!

My journey started when I moved to Toronto from Vancouver to complete my Bachelor of Science at University of Toronto. After exploring many career paths including dog walker and hospital clinic assistant, I completed the George Brown Behaviour Technician Program. My first placement at Toronto IBI is where I fell in love with ABA and how it can positively affect people's lives. It inspired me to further my education. This year, I started my Masters in the field of ABA at Brock in the goal of becoming a BCBA/RBA.

In my spare time, I love reading novels and have been known to read too many books (like over 100 one year). I am a sewer and have fun creating quilts with new patterns. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and I love visiting Vancouver to see my family and the beautiful city.

Hello, I am Tia Soja and I’m an instructor therapist in the Developmental Kindergarten program at TACT!

I completed the Behavioural Science Technician program where I graduated from George Brown College. Prior to joining TACT, I was a preschool teacher, engaging with students from the ages of 3 to 5, where I greeted arriving children and assisted them in preparing for daily activities. During my time there, I learned many things and can safely say that working with children is something that I thoroughly enjoy. I also gained experience volunteering at Mount Sinai Hospital in the nursing unit, working with all kinds of patients, specifically focusing on those with physical disabilities.

During my free time, I like to ski and play volleyball as well as cherish time with friends and family. I was born and raised here in Toronto, but I am originally from Serbia and Croatia. Whenever the opportunity arises, I try to visit home to see my family and spend some time there, as well as travel to new places!

I would say that my mom is someone that I take inspiration from. She is not only kind and caring, but approaches her day with the utmost positive attitude and strives to be a role model to both myself and my sister!

My name is Kamiya and I am an Instructor Therapist and Case Manager. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and B.Ed in Special Education from India. I got an opportunity to work with children with developmental disabilities during my Masters program which made me realize my passion to work with them.

I decided to move to Canada in 2021 to pursue further studies. I completed the Infant and Child Mental Health course from Seneca College followed by a course in Autism & Behavioural Science from Mohawk College. I firmly believe that every child is unique and hence it is very crucial to have an understanding of their strengths and challenges. I feel that it is important that we teach with our heart rather than with a book.

I am excited to be a part of this team, and I love bringing positive changes into the lives of the children we serve. I enjoy playing tennis and doing meditation as part of my daily chores and as I believe self care is something that needs attention.

What inspires me is my family back home who have helped me become who I am today and I will always be grateful to them for supporting me in each and every step.

Hello! I am thrilled to be the music teacher at TACT.

I have been an early childhood music educator in Toronto for over 15 years. After obtaining my Music degree from York University (BFA), majoring in jazz vocal performance, I decided to combine my love of children and music, and began developing music programs for young children in nursery school and kindergarten settings. I strive to create a positive and warm environment in my classes where all children can feel welcomed and supported as they explore the joy of music!
